Hydra-Moist is a light weight, quick absorbing, day and night moisturizer. It includes Hydromanil which comes from the seed of the tara tree that grows in a very dry climate in the Andes Mountains in Peru. The seeds have a unique ability to retain moisture even after years of being in the dry environment. The manufacturer has been able to extract the hydrating components of the seed and the clinical use of Hydromanil shows immediate, intermediate and long term increases in skin hydration. Clinical studies have shown a 5% concentration of Hydromanil produces a 10.8% moisture boost in the skin after 30 minutes that climbs to 16.4% after 4 hours. Further studies have shown that the skin continues to have significantly greater hydration after three weeks. The two Exossine ingredients, Exo H and Exo T, are natural and come from microorganisms that grow in shallow lagoons surrounding the Moorea Island in the French Polynesian Islands. These microorganisms are rich in polysaccharides. Exo H stimulates the mechanisms in the skin that cause the skin to produce hyaluronic acid, so that we use the skin’s natural ability to increase hydration below the surface of the skin. Exo T protects the collagen network, aids in skin renewal, and improves skin smoothness and texture to improve skin hydration. Along with Hydromanil, Exo T aids in desquamation or shedding the outer layers of the skin to promote skin renewal. Collagen fibers provide skin firmness and elastin and hyaluronic acid are responsible for the skin’s elastic properties. StimulHyal is a patented active ingredient that specifically stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid and elastin in the skin to prevent skin aging. As the years go by, the dermis gets thinner. The elasticity of the skin decreases dramatically and the skin starts sagging. By stimulating hyaluronic acid and elastin synthesis in the dermis, skin elasticity is improved and skin sagging is decreased resulting in firmer and less wrinkled skin.
